Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and support our mission to provide quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring high standards of animal welfare while delivering compassionate care to pets in need. Oversee medical procedures according to standard operating procedures
Train veterinarians in medical protocols
Participate in administrative tasks and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Maintain open mind regarding changes and be willing to learn, implement, and teach new protocols
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
