Job Description
Join ProHealth Physicians as a Medical Receptionist and be part of a dedicated team that enhances community health. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring excellent service while managing appointments and supporting clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols
Consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessary
Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
Greet patients and conduct check-in process
Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
Scan and fax documents for central indexing team
Close payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble and balance batch(es)
Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and ProHealth policies
Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
