Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care, Medical/Surgical Unit (5th Floor)
• Start Date: November 24, 2025
• End Date: February 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend, holidays as needed
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,930 - $2,070

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (open to candidates waiting for West Virginia RN licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Basic arrhythmia recognition and ability to identify fatal cardiac rhythms
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Professional appearance: Navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, covered tattoos per unit policy

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations (cardiac, renal, oncology, stroke, trauma, wound care, and more)
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry (remote monitoring)
• Administer IV medications (Heparin, Protonix) and manage non-titrating drips
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and patient care techs
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in unit orientation (1-2 shifts with a preceptor)
• Support unit coverage by working every other weekend and holidays as needed
