Job Description

Join Raytheon as a Principal Test and Validation Engineer, where you will develop and maintain testing procedures for advanced defense applications. Your expertise will ensure product quality and reliability, contributing to national security efforts. Collaborate with engineers to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automated and manual test procedures for SAW filter production
  • Design and maintain test fixtures and equipment
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and root causes of failures
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality management systems
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff
  • Prepare detailed documentation of test procedures and results
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in STEM or Advanced Degree with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience or 5 years with an Advance Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years in production testing, preferably with RF/microwave components
  • Understanding of SAW filter principles, design, and performance characteristics
  • 5+ years using test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
  • 5+ years with automated test systems and software (LabVIEW, MATLAB)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with statistical analysis and process control methodologies
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
