Key Responsibilities
Utilize evidence-based screening tools and diagnostic criteria to formulate comprehensive treatment plans
Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions tailored to each patient's needs
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
Clear, active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Connecticut
Board certified as a PMHNP-BC by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or eligible for board certification
Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration
Currently eligible to be enrolled as a provider in the Medicare program
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing in an outpatient setting
Experience counseling patients using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques
Experience treating substance addiction and co-occurring disorders
Experience working with patients in different age groups, including older adults
Experience with professional communication and medical documentation tools
