Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure the efficiency of outside plant facilities. You'll be responsible for construction work, cable management, and operating vehicles while collaborating with a dedicated team to keep services running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware/fixtures
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
