Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Float Pool - Nights

A Hospital, located in Rhode Island , is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Float Pool . This is a long-term assignment for 36 hours nights , aiming to replace an agency position. We are looking for an individual with 5 years of experience required to join our team on unit 3 SOUTH (11007-60095) . This is a critical order with an ASAP start .

Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical Float Pool RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across various medical-surgical units within Kent Hospital. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care for a diverse patient population.
  • Administering medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, interpreting data, and promptly reporting changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborating effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Educating patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintaining precise and thorough electronic health records.
  • Adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and national patient safety goals.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in floating to different units as needed, while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent and relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical setting.
  • Proven ability to adapt to varying patient care environments and patient acuity levels.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
