Join LewisGale Medical Center's HCA Nurse Residency Program, a year-long paid program designed for new graduate nurses to gain essential clinical skills in a supportive environment. You will receive advanced training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to transition from student to professional nurse.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered
Document the administration of care in the medical record
Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response
Teach patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans
Required Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
No previous experience needed
Preferred Qualifications
Other Certifications may be required during employment
Some travel may be needed for training
