Job Description
Join Carrier as a Journeyman HVAC Installer and make a significant impact on customer comfort through expert installations, repairs, and maintenance of HVAC systems. This role offers opportunities for independent work and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Performing scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units
Installing, replacing, or repairing HVAC equipment
Assembling and installing metal ductwork
Assisting in planning and designing new installations
Providing estimates of materials required
Repairing and replacing damaged parts and equipment
Reading blueprints and wiring diagrams
Interpreting City, State, and EPA regulations
Maintaining effective relationships with customers
Safely operating company vehicles and equipment
Implementing safety controls in HVAC operations
Participating in safety training
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
Valid Driver's License
Ability to join the union
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of building automation controls
Excellent communication skills
