Job Description

The RN Instructor position at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals involves developing and implementing educational programs while ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs
  • Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies
  • Promote patient safety and quality improvement
  • Develop instructional programs based on identified learning needs
  • Implement educational curricula utilizing adult learning principles
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of instructional programs
  • Collaborate with professionals and stakeholders in educational efforts
  • Provide documentation and reports of educational programs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Related Discipline
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider within 30 days
  • CPR, ALS, or ILS Age Appropriate Instructor Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
