Key Responsibilities
Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action.
Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures.
Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
California Driver's License
Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV)
Medical Examiner's Card
State of California Paramedic License
CPR Card (AHA ONLY, Health Care Provider)
ACLS Card (AHA ONLY)
PALS Card (AHA ONLY) or PEPP
Driving record in compliance with McCormick/AMR Safety and Driving policy
ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B)
