Key Responsibilities
Provide rehabilitative physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist patients with exercises and mobility techniques
Document patient status, observations, and care provided
Monitor progress and collaborate with the Physical Therapist
Demonstrate exercises or therapy techniques for caregivers
Encourage patients and promote independence and safety in the home
Deliver care in alignment with federal and state guidelines
Build trusting relationships with patients and their families
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program
Licensed, certified, or registered PTA as required by applicable state law
Current CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in home health, hospital, or outpatient rehab setting
In-home rehab services
Geriatric or orthopedic rehabilitation
Collaboration in interdisciplinary care teams
