Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract – Operating Room Registered Nurse
• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland 20650 (Maryland healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: Rotational weekends (1-2 weekend shifts per contract)
• Scrubs: Provided
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2210 - $2370

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Experience in general OR, robotic surgery, orthopedic, gynecologic, and other surgical specialties
• Proficiency with hospital charting systems
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisor references required
• First-time travel nurses accepted (with required specialty experience)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical procedures: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, arthroscopy, appendectomy, C-sections, cataract extraction, colon resection, hernia repair, joint replacement, and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and more
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Participate in rotational weekend call as scheduled
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Complete orientation and required training modules prior to and during assignment
