Job Description
Summary: Performs MRI procedures according to established practices and procedures. Schedules MRI exams, stocks procedure rooms. Acts as a resource person to Radiology staff and medical staff. MRI Registered Technologists: *MRT (New Mexico licensure) required. *Or: Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices: *PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required. *Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers for desk to work station. *Inspects for quality and completeness of exam. *Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera. *Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies. *Provides instruction and guidance in magnetic resonance imaging procedures and equipment/facilities usage to staff and/or students in training. *Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA and compliance regulations. *Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise Benefits: We offer more than the standard benefits!
