The Pediatric Burn Program Manager oversees the ABA Verified Burn Center, ensuring high-quality burn patient care and compliance with established standards. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing clinical operations, and driving quality improvement initiatives within a trauma and burn care environment. The position requires nursing licensure, burn care expertise, healthcare leadership experience, and relevant certifications.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Burn Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of the ABA (American Burn Association) Verified Burn Center. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with ABA standards, and promotes multidisciplinary collaboration. The position will collaborate with Medical Directors, program leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate, monitor, promote, and evaluate the program’s components, oversee clinical operations, and lead quality improvement initiatives. The Burn Manager must possess clinical expertise in the burn patient population across the continuum of care, as well as demonstrate experience with program leadership.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
LICENSURE
State of Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required.
TNCC Instructor within 18 months of hire.
ABLS Instructor within 18 months of hire.
National burn certification, specifically the Certified Burn Registered Nurse (CBRN) preferred. CBRN must be obtained and maintained within 18 months of hire.
