Key Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for patients of varying ages.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on treatment strategies and progress.
Maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with facility and state regulations.
Stay current with best practices and evidence-based approaches in speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
Active New York State SLP license.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
