Key Responsibilities
Investigates to determine coverage, liability, and physical damage for complex auto claims
Negotiates liability for comparative negligence
Identifies coverage concerns and creates SIU referrals
Gathers information from multiple parties to determine liability
Analyzes information for compliance and settlement value
Evaluates and negotiates settlement of claims within authority limits
Documents thought process for claims handling
Collaborates with business partners for claims resolution
Supports workload surges and catastrophe response operations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
2 years of customer service experience
1 year of experience handling low to moderately complex auto non-injury liability claims
Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts
Experience determining auto liability coverage
Proficient knowledge and understanding of the auto claims contract and state laws
Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Proven investigatory, analytical, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize, analyze, and effectively determine risk and appropriate response
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Active Adjuster's License
1-2 years recent multi-vehicle claims liability experience
Guidewire Claims Center experience
Contract Interpretation experience
Dispute resolution experience
Arbitration/Subrogation knowledge
US military experience through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
