Overview:
The Retirement Plan Consultant will serve as the primary expert on 401(k) retirement plan solutions. This role involves advising clients on plan design and compliance, managing relationships with plan sponsors and participants, and ensuring plans align with both financial goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on 401(k) plan design, implementation, and fiduciary duties
Serve as the main contact for plan sponsors and participants, offering education and support
Conduct regular plan reviews to ensure compliance and performance
Collaborate with advisors, investment teams, and third-party administrators
Monitor changes to ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations and apply best practices
Support new business efforts through proposals and presentations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in 401(k) plan management or retirement services
Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL rules
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain complex retirement concepts clearly
Relevant certifications such as QKA, QKC, or CPFA are a plus
