Job Description
Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader to manage an engineering team in Tucson, AZ. The role involves ensuring high-quality technical output and overseeing all phases of product life cycle support, while also providing leadership and mentoring to engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of approximately 15-20 engineers
Provide technical development, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure accuracy of technical output
Coordinate program staffing needs and support recruitment efforts
Perform individual contributor workload in subject matter discipline
Evaluate and resolve technical problems related to materials and processes
Support product life cycle with technical oversight
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with materials and process design, development, and/or production support for military programs
Experience in working on a cross-functional team
Experience in testing methods for materials properties
Experience with PWB/CCA interconnect requirements
Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
Experience in dimensional inspection/measurement techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of experience in materials problem solving and design selection
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined projects
Direct experience in aerospace industry materials support
Advanced degree in related disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and statistics
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo, and/or Python
MS Office proficiency
Basis of Estimate (BOE) Certification
