Key Responsibilities
Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties
Supports teamwork and encourages staff to provide proper resident care
Completes rounds to assess residents and their care
Reports concerns to appropriate staff members
Receives and completes shift reports for the Director of Nursing
Manages and disciplines staff members as necessary
Promotes staff responsibility and accountability
Develops measurable staff goals and maintains professionalism
Directs and manages patient care using sound nursing judgment
Documents and communicates care plans appropriately
Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and safety issues
Completes monthly QAPI and monitors pharmacy recommendations
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state you will be working
Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects
Ability to transfer and move residents
Manual dexterity and coordination
Ability to perform necessary documentation
Visual acuity
Ability to manage a diversity of activities
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of long-term care supervisory experience
