Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and support both experienced and new veterinarians in providing high-quality care to underserved communities. You'll lead a dedicated team while performing essential veterinary services and ensuring outstanding client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Clinic.
Train veterinarians in high-quality spay/neuter techniques.
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching.
Perform high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgical procedures.
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients.
Participate in monthly Veterinary Medicine Rounds and Meetings.
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience
