Position Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. Provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. Provides a variety of responsibilities to meet the supervisors' expectations. Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Liaison for internal customer support. Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.
Schedule & Pay:
Schedule: Full time; Weekend Mid shift- Friday, Saturdays and Sundays 9AM to 9PM
Pay: $24 plus a shift differential of $1.00 Thursdays, $2 Fridays and $2.00 Saturdays

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead for a small group (8-10) of hourly associates in a warehouse environment
• Monitor day to day operations for compliance to establish safety and logistics procedures.
• Resolve issues on a first line basis.
• Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates as well as route management control compliances.
• Daily interaction with forklift drivers.
• Assist operations supervisor with daily tasks.
• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable (KPI’s).
• Monitor workforce attendance.
• Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with our customer.
• Complete projects assigned by inventory supervisor daily, weekly, or monthly.
Qualifications:
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• previous experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with others both through written and verbal communication.
• Read, write, understand and speak English
• Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
• Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications
• Must use handheld computers / scanners
• Operate various material handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
