Job Description

Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a key role in patient care by supporting physicians in a collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include patient intake, administering injections, and maintaining compliance with health standards, all while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients and complete intake procedures
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms
  • Administer injections and assist with procedures
  • Prepare and route lab specimens
  • Respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
  • Train other employees
  • Assist with front desk procedures as needed

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of medical assisting experience
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with doctors and patients
  • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
