Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside facilities operate efficiently. You will handle the installation and maintenance of various outside plant facilities while working in a dynamic team environment. Your skills will contribute to maintaining America's fastest and most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
