Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Duties:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide counseling to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive medication treatment plans
- Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and adjust treatment as necessary
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations governing pharmacy practice
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and optimize medication outcomes
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Michigan state pharmacist license in good standing
- Familiarity with utilization review processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care
- In-depth understanding of medical terminology and physiology
