Job Description
Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our high-volume scratch kitchen. This role includes managing staff, food inventory, and ensuring food quality while enjoying a fun and diverse workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Manage food cost, waste, staffing, and cleanliness
Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
Ensure proper staffing and training of kitchen staff
Maintain food quality and safety standards
Oversee inventory and orders
Ensure kitchen equipment is operational
Create schedules for kitchen staff
Work within budget to minimize waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales, and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
