Job Description

Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our high-volume scratch kitchen. This role includes managing staff, food inventory, and ensuring food quality while enjoying a fun and diverse workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage food cost, waste, staffing, and cleanliness
  • Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure proper staffing and training of kitchen staff
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Oversee inventory and orders
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is operational
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff
  • Work within budget to minimize waste

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales, and labor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
