Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,556 per week

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Med Surg

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Deliver comprehensive bedside nursing care including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and interdisciplinary coordination
• Utilize Epic EMR (required) for documentation, orders, and clinical decision support
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret lab and diagnostic results, and escalate changes in status to providers
• Manage telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation for at-risk patients
• Support patient and family education, safe discharge planning, and care transitions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal outcomes

• Float to appropriate units based on hospital needs within RN scope of practice

  Unit & Patient Population:

• General inpatient/step-down environment with preference for critical care experience
• Adult and geriatric patient population with high acuity needs

Requirements:

License: Active RN, compact-eligible (Nursys verified)
Certifications: BLS (ACLS preferred if assigned to higher-acuity units)
