As a Nurse Educator at Bethesda Health, you will develop and implement crucial orientation programs for staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing the quality of care. You will play a key role in infection prevention and staff development, promoting a culture of excellence and safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement orientation programs for employees
Conduct General Orientation incorporating OSHA and regulatory guidelines
Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
Provide input into evaluation of orientee and recommend releases
Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs
Oversee infection prevention and control programs
Lead the facility's Infection and Prevention Control Committee
Participate in quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain
Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Preferred Qualifications
BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
Certified as a CPR instructor
Educational and supervisory/management experience
Previous experience in long-term care
Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program
