Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will design and implement Behavior Management Programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective interventions and compliance with regulations while providing training and support to staff and families.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
Participate in advocacy and team meetings
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB) or NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with developmental disabilities and behavior support plans
Three years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
