Key Responsibilities
Function as a Treatment Care Coordinator and primary therapist for a case load of 7-8 patients
Meet with patients daily along with the attending MD and nursing staff
Facilitate family meetings and collaborate with outpatient providers
Perform psychosocial and psychiatric assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans
Participate in daily clinical team meetings
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW) by the state of NY within 1 year of hire
Limited Permit (must supply exam date prior to start of employment)
Fieldwork or previous experience in a psychiatric setting
Knowledge base of bio-psychosocial model and DSM-IV diagnoses
Competency in individual, family and group treatment modalities
Conduct initial evaluations and psychosocial assessments
Knowledge base of community and discharge planning resources
Effective organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
