Job Title: RN ICU – Neurology (Neuro Transplant ICU)
City/State: Oklahoma City, OK
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Essential Responsibilities: - Provide skilled nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret data, and intervene appropriately.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products per physician orders.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Delegate tasks to appropriate support staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to diverse cultural and language needs.
Preferred Skills & Experience: - Previous experience in Neuro ICU or Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
Education Requirements: - Required: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
Certifications & Licensure: - Required:
- Current RN License (Oklahoma or multistate compact).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
- Preferred:
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Transplant Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN).
