Job Description
Join Bethesda Health as a Nurse Educator, where you will develop and implement employee orientation and training programs, focusing on long-term care regulations and staff development. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement orientation programs for employees
Conduct General Orientation incorporating OSHA and regulatory guidelines
Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs
Implement infection prevention and control programs
Provide education to staff, residents, and families
Participate in quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current RN license in the state of employment
CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs such as EMR
Good communication skills and ability to teach adults
Preferred Qualifications
BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
Certified as a CPR instructor
Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program and CMT instructor certification
Educational and supervisory/management experience
Previous experience in long-term care
