Job Description

Join Bethesda Health as a Nurse Educator, where you will develop and implement employee orientation and training programs, focusing on long-term care regulations and staff development. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement orientation programs for employees
  • Conduct General Orientation incorporating OSHA and regulatory guidelines
  • Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
  • Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs
  • Implement infection prevention and control programs
  • Provide education to staff, residents, and families
  • Participate in quality improvement activities

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current RN license in the state of employment
  • CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
  • Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs such as EMR
  • Good communication skills and ability to teach adults

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
  • Certified as a CPR instructor
  • Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program and CMT instructor certification
  • Educational and supervisory/management experience
  • Previous experience in long-term care
