Job Description
Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to enhance patient care through efficient clinic operations. You will manage patient interactions, appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of services while making a direct impact on community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Greet patients and check them in and out
Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to cash handling policies
Schedule appointments and verify correct visit types
Manage waiting room cleanliness and communicate information to patients
Work with back office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and complaints
Assist co-workers and team members with duties as requested
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
1+ years of customer service experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to work in various locations
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
1+ years of experience with insurance programs
Experience working with an electronic health record
Medical office setting experience
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding
Knowledge of medical terminology
Independent means of transportation during work hours
Bilingual in Spanish/English
