Job Description

As an Inventory Planner at Sysco, you will drive inventory management goals by ensuring exemplary customer service and optimizing supply chain efficiencies. Your expertise will be key in maintaining inventory accuracy, managing stock levels, and executing purchasing initiatives to meet company targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels while maximizing customer service
  • Manage Inventory DSO, aged, obsolete inventory, spoilage, and shrink
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams and suppliers
  • Utilize Manhatten inventory planning tool Demand Planning Replenishment (DPR)
  • Maximize supply chain efficiencies with logistics team
  • Manage SKU count and resolve replenishment issues
  • Execute purchasing of new items and system setup
  • Process salesforce 360 requests
  • Respond to market conditions and understand seasonal trends
  • Investigate and resolve late/missing POs

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in Inventory Management/Purchasing
  • Experience in retail, wholesale or distribution environment
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude
  • Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with 10,000+ SKUs
  • Inventory Management/Purchasing experience in distributor
