Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and assist with registration
Enter and scan patient information into Epic
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Collect co-payments and patient balances
Coordinate follow-up care and schedule appointments
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and OSHA requirements
Work cohesively with team to achieve specific goals
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency
Ability to travel to other offices when needed
Ability to be cross trained as a medical assistant
Ability to work between 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with one weekend shift
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in medical front office or Urgent Care
Experience with electronic health record (EPIC)
Knowledge of Medical terms
Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
Bilingual in Spanish and English
