Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a passionate team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. This role combines leadership and hands-on veterinary work, ensuring a positive impact on animal welfare while fostering a supportive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide compassionate quality preventive and basic care to patients
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
