Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

A facility in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in our Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRPN) unit. This position is for a highly skilled professional to join our team.

Assignment Details:

  • Unit: LDRPN 5N 5S
  • Location: Bridgeport, CT
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Type/Service Line: Long Term - Nursing
  • Positions Available: 1

Shift & Schedule:

  • Expected Shift: AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • Hours per Week: 36 hours
  • Meal Duration: 30 minutes
  • On-Call: Yes, all travelers are required to take 12-24 hours of on-call per 6-week schedule, as per unit needs.
  • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday requirement, per the needs of the unit.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • 2 years of recent working experience in Labor & Delivery is required.
    • Experience circulating in the Operating Room (OR) is required.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Preferred: C-EFM (Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • Skills:
    • Required: EPIC electronic health record experience.
    • Ability to float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units.
