Location: Smithfield Foods (1 Sweet Applewood Ln, Cudahy, WI 53110)
Contract : 5 Months
Schedule : Tue 9a-5:30p, Wed 9a-5:30p, Fri 9a-5:30p
Requirements : 2+ years experience as an RN | BLS required | Epic experience required | Travel experience Required
Scope of Responsibilities: Basic first aid, triage of work-related injuries, drug screens, visions screens, audiograms, administering flu and Tdap vaccines, supporting Advanced Practice Provider and employer safety team. This assignment is best suited for a RN who works well independently and has good critical thinking skills. Occupational Health, Urgent Care and/or Ortho experience needed.

Provides professional Occupational Health nursing services to staff of Froedtert Health. Acts as an advocate for the health and safety of the staff members of Froedtert Health. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience: -A minimum of two years of experience in areas of general patient care, demonstrating leadership and organizational abilities is required. -Demonstrated knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and Standards of Practice for Occupational Health Nurses. -Working knowledge of all equipment used in assessing and providing primary health care. -Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred Skills & Experience: -Knowledge of Occupational Medicine is preferred.Required Education: -Associate’s degree in nursing. Preferred Education: -Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Required Certifications & Licensure: -Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). -American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -COHN or COHN-S is preferred
