Join Regal Rexnord as a Grinder for the 2nd Shift, where you will operate CNC ID grinding equipment to produce precision machined parts. Utilize your expertise in setup, quality inspection, and process improvement to ensure optimal efficiency and quality in production.
Key Responsibilities
Sets up and operates grinding machines to produce parts to established specifications.
Completes set-ups with some supervision/assistance.
Responsible for all phases of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance.
Performs and maintains accurate in-process quality inspection and records.
Identifies and recommends process improvements to reduce part quality variation.
Implements process improvements, procedures, and waste elimination.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
At least three (3) years experience in operation set-up on CNC ID grinding equipment.
Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003”).
Understanding of machine tool accuracies and tool offsets.
Knowledge of cutting wheel feeds, speeds, and wheel life for aerospace grinding.
Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blueprints and quality requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.
Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).
Ability to stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
