Job Description
Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator, where you'll play a vital role in improving health outcomes through exceptional customer service and administrative support. Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
Complete check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification
Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles
Manage cashier box and daily deposits
Process walk-in patients and visitors
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Manage medical records and correspondence
Ensure waiting room cleanliness and assist patients
Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and assist team members as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of customer service-related experience
1+ years of experience with MS Office
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a medical office or medical environment
Previous experience with medical insurance
Prior experience with EMR computer applications
Working knowledge of medical terminology/medical coding
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
