Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in supporting students with communication challenges. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children to enhance their educational performance and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using standardized tools and informal assessments to identify speech-language needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals.
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, parents, and other related service providers.
- Monitor and document student progress toward goals and modify interventions as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide strategies to classroom staff for supporting speech-language needs in the academic setting.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and complete all required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility.
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Work Schedule:
- Follows the district’s academic calendar
- Typically Monday through Friday during school hours
