Job Description

Schedule: The normal duty schedule is either 0700-1600 or 0730-1630 Monday-Friday or Flex shifts. Flex shifts are utilized to support mission requirements, not Contractor preference, and must be approved by the Government Supervisor and the COR. Flex shifts can consist of 8, 9, or 10 hour shifts and will not exceed 80 hours in a two-week pay period. Schedule changes shall be published by the Government Supervisor two weeks prior to implementation of the new shift. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness. Assist Case Manager in prepping and teaching the Pain Management Group Class. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform support duties in pain management for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following the procedure. Perform physical exams and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Clinically direct care provided by other healthcare professionals. Screen patients at the reception desk for eligibility and verify appointments with the appropriate healthcare provider, along with booking, scheduling, and notifying patients for follow-up as required. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. Perform nursing services identified in the TO. 4): Associates Degree of Nursing, Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or as otherwise identified in the TO. Experience: One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the TO. #
