Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees at the service center
  • Track and audit employees’ hours and handle payroll issues
  • Administer corrective actions and monitor staff development
  • Manage inbound, city, and outbound freight operations
  • Plan daily staffing needs for timely freight delivery
  • Collaborate with sales team to grow revenue
  • Provide information about productivity and company policies
  • Analyze and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Comply with laws/regulations and company policies

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of LTL freight management and/or service center management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
  • Experience with transportation rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability for various shifts and travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of related work or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
