Job Description
As a Landfill District Manager I, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety and productivity across multiple sites. You will manage personnel, budget reviews, and interact with local agencies to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the District’s day-to-day operations and support drivers in ensuring safety and service
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Conduct root cause investigations for injuries and incidents
Oversee personnel needs including hiring, coaching, and evaluating performance
Formulate short-term and long-term goals and action plans
Participate in P&L reviews and implement cost management strategies
Interact with local agencies to ensure customer satisfaction and negotiate contracts
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant work experience
2 years in a supervisory and/or P&L responsibility role
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial and human resource functions
Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications
Experience preparing and managing budgets
Experience resolving labor relations issues
