Job Description

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Radiation Therapist, where you will administer radiation treatments with precision and compassion to support patients battling cancer and other diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients in accordance with physician instructions and treatment plans
  • Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
  • Accurately position patients using immobilization devices, imaging, and treatment verification tools
  • Monitor patients during treatment sessions, observing for any adverse reactions or side effects
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nurses to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery
  • Maintain precise treatment records, including dosage, equipment settings, and patient progress
  • Provide patient education on treatment procedures, possible side effects, and supportive care resources
  • Follow strict safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures, equipment checks, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
  • State licensure as required
  • Strong technical skills in operating radiation therapy equipment and imaging systems
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
  • Ability to work with precision, follow protocols, and adapt to evolving technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior clinical experience in a hospital, cancer center, or radiation oncology setting
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and treatment planning systems (e.g., Varian, Elekta, MOSAIQ, ARIA)
