Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Radiation Therapist, where you will administer radiation treatments with precision and compassion to support patients battling cancer and other diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients in accordance with physician instructions and treatment plans
Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
Accurately position patients using immobilization devices, imaging, and treatment verification tools
Monitor patients during treatment sessions, observing for any adverse reactions or side effects
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nurses to ensure accurate and effective treatment delivery
Maintain precise treatment records, including dosage, equipment settings, and patient progress
Provide patient education on treatment procedures, possible side effects, and supportive care resources
Follow strict safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure
Participate in quality assurance procedures, equipment checks, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
State licensure as required
Strong technical skills in operating radiation therapy equipment and imaging systems
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
Ability to work with precision, follow protocols, and adapt to evolving technology
Preferred Qualifications
Prior clinical experience in a hospital, cancer center, or radiation oncology setting
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and treatment planning systems (e.g., Varian, Elekta, MOSAIQ, ARIA)
