Join FM as a Consultant Engineer II and leverage your engineering background to help clients identify and mitigate risks at their facilities. You'll receive mentorship and training while working in a collaborative culture. This role involves hands-on assessments and traveling to client sites, providing impactful solutions for risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on site assessments of the physical property by touring the facility interior, roofs, and exterior
Evaluate site water supplies, fire protection, dust hazards, electrical systems, chemical storage and processing, structural designs, construction materials, and site maintenance and emergency response programs
Ensure FM Engineering Standards are followed and communicate recommendations and/or engineering solutions to clients
Support and assist clients as they implement solutions to mitigate identified risks
Work from a home office and travel to clients' facilities daily (overnight travel expected 3-5 nights per month)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (various specialties considered)
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Good analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision
Solid technical aptitude including diverse knowledge of engineering principles
Valid driver’s license
Physically able to climb a ladder, mount a roof, lift 25 lbs, comfortable in confined spaces and walk 2-3 miles per day
Proficient in MS Office products
