Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures
Act as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students
Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy
Independently operate imaging equipment according to protocol
Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards
Complete quality control procedures in line with regulatory standards
Facilitate departmental operations including inventory and staff schedules
Adapt communication style to various patient populations
Required Qualifications
Completion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of Sonographer experience
Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
