Radiologic Technologist - Radiologic Technologist
Job Details:
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adhere to departmental protocols
• Obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials in "Active Status" with continuing education requirements
• Verify patient demographics, emulsion markers, and examination requests for accuracy
• Critique, orient, and save pertinent images while transmitting QA-ed images to PACS
• Document completion and/or cancellation of procedures in RIS with appropriate comments
• Maintain image management equipment and report problems to appropriate resources
• Perform quality radiographic images consistently on an ongoing basis
• Review daily schedules and status of patients waiting for examinations
• Use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively to access information and document procedures
• Verify patient identity and obtain relevant patient history for examinations
• Verify pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation
• Assess patient physical condition and develop action plans for examinations
• Assist patients requiring extra attention and react appropriately to emergency situations
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Experience with Siemens/OR equipment helpful
• Required education: Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
• Required certifications: ARRT Certified in Radiography and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider
• No prior experience required
