As a Lead Meat Processor, you will assist in supervising the production area, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety regulations while mentoring team members. This hands-on role involves cutting meat, managing inventory, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in leadership duties and communicate daily objectives
Accurately cut meat to trim and yield specifications
Manage product inventory levels and ensure compliance with specifications
Maintain work areas in compliance with U.S.D.A. guidelines
Participate in safety programs and develop safe work practices
Complete other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Prior experience with portion cutting meat
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
Ability to reduce processing costs with good yields
