The Acute Care Educator will lead educational initiatives within the hospital, focusing on onboarding, training, and professional development for nursing staff. This role fosters a culture of clinical excellence by providing vital education and support, ensuring staff are well-prepared and continuously improving their skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical education during onboarding for new employees and students
Instruct courses through the Training Center
Serve as a liaison for staff seeking educational opportunities
Conduct 1:1 or small group remedial training sessions
Develop educational materials for new products and practice changes
Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing competencies
Facilitate bedside education and competency assessments
Collaborate on outreach and workforce development efforts
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two years of direct patient care nursing experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active Montana RN license
BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or progress toward MSN
Clinical specialty certification
Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or ENPC
